It may be listed as Accusystem.
It will have to be found or it will continue to reinstall.

Check Control Panel> Programs and Features it may be there. Use uninstall here probably.

    If not in Programs.
Also type Accusystem into the Start Search Bar and see if it shows.
    Possibly ACC-6xxx

Next place is Computer > the drive Win7 is on C- on mine but? Look in the Program Files and Program Files (x86) as in the below Snip.

Ask questions if needed. We may have to finish this tomorrow. About bedtime.

When you find it delete it and you know the rest of the steps.

I apologize for not remembering the extra Delete step. Mine was in the Win Update list so easy to find.

You are very welcome and thanks for the rep.

Just glad we got it up and running.

I had no help with mine. The update just hit and nothing was posted on the problem yet.

It knocked out my Marvell Sata6 HD controller. Sort of like a parasite to get rid of it.

Take care. Come visit the forum just for fun.

Also from now on the way Windows update is set you will have to allow installation of updates. It will download them but you will have the option to choose the ones you want.
    Always take priority security updates.
Optional are just that if you don't need it hide it. You can always unhide later if needed later.

    Hello.

Sorry for "hijacking the thread" but I am experiencing the problem that has been mentioned in this thread. My Motherboard is an ASUS P6T SE and a 2TB external HD using USB 3.0. I also bought a card using a pci-e to give me 2xusb 3 slots, using "NEC Electronics" software. Exectly the same thing happened to me as the thread owner.

I have tried uninstalling it and doing the stuff mentioned here, however i couldnt find the driver in windows update, nor anywhere else after uninstalling it, only the hardware with yellow caution warners after them (which i uninstalled). However nomatter what i do, when im re-installing the program again (came with the purchase of the usb card) windows kicks in and downloads/installs something (or it seems that way) and im no longer that i was before. Do you know of anythign else that might help?

Gimme a word if you need more detailed info, as im in a little hurry now, but jsut wanna get this out after having tried and faild for hours.

Go to post #2 and change Windows update first. Then find all the Accusys/ACS-6xxx drivers and delete them. Commodore Pet found two instances of the ACS-6xxx in Device manager so check all the devices for yellow tagged drivers. Delete all ACS-6xxx.
    Then go to post #9.

When Windows trys to have you reinstall the ACS-6xxx update which it will try but can't because of post #2 directions you then go to Post #12 and follow how to hide the ACS-6xxx Windows update. It can not be reinstalled by Windows and you don't have to worry with it anymore.

Install NEC drivers and you should be good to go.

I cant quite get it. First i changed windows updater, to the shown settings. Then I went to Device manager and uninstalled the drivers from there (USB 3.0 Host controller and USB 3.0 Root hub). After that windows tried re-installing them, but faild, however when i went to windows update to make sure the files couldnt be downloaded again (Hide them) I was unable to locate them. I havent been able to find any drivers marked "ACS-6xxx"anywhere, either in system files/ hidden files or windows update (nor have i found anything named ASC or Accusystem).

    Sorry for being so useless

Here is the yellow tagged driver i removed after uninstalling the normal drivers and windows tried to reinstall it: http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...aggzy/usb3.jpg

As you see all my drivers are named the same, so i cant really find the driver in question:

Sorry for "hijacking the thread" but I am experiencing the problem that has been mentioned in this thread.
Your quote. So you don't have the same problem.
A similar problem with a different driver it would appear.
So disregard my reference to the Accusys driver.

Give me a few minutes to find the driver you do need.

Well I downloaded the manual for your board and looked at the Asus web page here
    ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
Nowhere does it say what brand USB controllers you have on the moboard but....

...The only storage manager driver listed for your Asus board is INTEL.
So that driver should not be there.

So I would right click on the yellow marked device and delete it.
Then type Renesas into the search bar in the Start menu. If it shows up in that list left click to open then delete it.

Best idea I have at the moment. Maybe someone else will post a better idea.

I will post to see if I can get you more help also.
