Can't reformat second partition to merge with primary
So basically I have had two partitions for the longest time on my laptop, one 240GB one for Win7 Pro 32bit and one for Ubuntu. However, coupled with a growing library of Steam games and a very aggressively increasing music library due to the recent purchase of a Zune Pass, I would like to merge the two so I have a little more time before I have to buy an external HDD.
Upon attempting to format the Ubuntu partition I got the unable to do so because this drive is in use message. So I then proceeded to delete every file on the Ubuntu partition thinking that might solve my problem. It didn't. When trying to go through 'Disk Management', the only modification option not grayed out for any of the partitions is 'Shrink'. (There is no 'delete' or 'format' for the now vacant Ubuntu partition). Is there some way of formatting and reattaching the secondary partition to the primary during bootup so I don't get this error?
