    Acer monitor problem

Hi, my Acer monitor has been working well for about a year now, but just today it randomly started doing auto-configs, which I know is normal for Acer monitors to do when they start failing. However, somewhat more strange is that it started navigating through its menu and the navigating technology menu on its own. Really strange, would appreciate any advice.

    Thanks,

Welcome to Seven Forums Geordi. I'd be looking at the actual control buttons. With the monitor off, work all the control buttons numerous times to see if any feel sticky, or perhaps to unstick any troublesome buttons. This is a common problem with TVs that can be easily tested by disconnecting the controls on the set and using only the remote. Obviously it's not so easy with a monitor. But try the buttons, and see if that helps. A Guy
