exactly, wireless sucks for gaming where the fastest and most stable connections are needed

Given security and speed of a CAT5 NW, I myself wouldn't give up a wired connection for a full time wireless (and I don't play games). I would run a phone line out of the jack, over the kitchen doorway and front door, down to and along the baseboard (on top or tucked between the baseboard and carpet), behind the table and up to the router, sitting somewhere close to the table. This, to me, would be an acceptable solution (after all, phone lines are pretty small and can be tacked down with tiny staples).

If you absolutely can't live with that, why not just run a cat 5 calble across the floor to your router whenever you want to play?

If you are going to stay with your wireless full or part time, be sure you secure your's a good start:

Windows 7 baby ! : D

Excellent suggestions guys ! thanks I think I'm going to go out and but a long cable and just connect it whenever I'm doing heavy duty gaming. To be honest it won't bother me, when I'm finished I just unplug it and tuck it away in my drawer beside my computer desk.

I couldn't live without this forum ! :)

So essentially you're saying that I should have no issue with my wireless connection then eh ? Windows says the speed is 130 Mbps
what windows says and what you actually are using will be different in real-time
