Recommended PSU - Please Help

Hey guys. (Im not sure if i posted in the right place)

I had a 750w Winpower PSU in my pc for about 3 years. Then the other night my machine went off then let our a huge bang/spark and i got a smell of burning from my PSU. After looking online about winpower PSU's they are not recommended by most people. I'm looking for a new PSU but im not sure what i should get. Just wondering if anyone on here could help me find a decent PSU. I only have a £50 budget but theres so many to choose from.

Pricing you say 50 Pounds but location is showing you are in the Western Hemisphere.

As far as brand Corsair and OCZ are good. The one I posted above is on sale there. There are many others.
I'm using a Cooler Master. They are pricey. I got it with a combo so it was about half price or I was set to get a Corsair.
Newegg is a good place to check out what is available and pricing even if you have to order from somewhere else because of location.

This will work with your set up as far as wattage.

At least your find is 80+ rated. But I would not buy anything from Amazon. My preferred PSU make is Antec. But I do not know about prices in the UK. In Germany it is about €110 for a 650W - and that is a lot compared to the Newegg price at $100.

For UK prices have a look at Ebay

Only go for those that are UK based stores, offer a buy it now option for new equipment, and have a high user rating,

You may well find that you can approach US prices for the branded items you are looking for

Thermaltake TR2 RX 550W Modular PSU | Ebuyer.com - I like the modular PSU's but i'm on a tight budget, this is the cheapest branded one i've seen.

OCZ Stealth Xstream II 600W PSU - 3x SATA 2x PCI-E | Ebuyer.com - Higher watts and mentioned it has the power of a 700w PSU.

Corsair Builder Series 600 Watt Atx Ps/2 Power Supply | Ebuyer.com - I like this one but unsure about the single 12v rail.

My only worry is that i have 3 HDD's inside the machine now 2x SATA & 1x IDE, plus 7x 120mm TT case fans along with the TT bigwater. Will these PSU's cope with this plus the mobo, cpu & gpu?
