Stuttering While Recording From CS 1.6

    hey guys,

i recently switched to win7 64bit and ever since then i have a stuttering/freezing problem when recording demos in counter-strike 1.6. does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?

at first when I start recording there's no stuttering but after 5-10 minutes the stuttering starts and it becomes pretty bad after a few minutes. then about 20 minutes into the game it disappears.

the stuttering is basically like a freeze for 1/5 of a second and it happens every 2-3 seconds.

i think it has something to do with accessing/writing to the hard drive but i'm not sure what i can do to fix it.

    thanks in advance!

any ideas? do i need to install any drivers to make the hard drive function properly? right now i'm using the default driver that win7 installs. also, write caching is enabled, i don't know if that makes any difference.
