In my Rapid storage technology application, it shows two internal empty ports what are they?

Pheriperal interfaces like serial I/O or Firewire Generally the other onboard interfaces are not used much. Some external hard drives will see the option for 1394 firewire rather then usb or eSata. The old type parallel printer ports would be another output seldom used.
