Yes I know exactly where you are coming from David re getting one or two things right as you sat makes the individual an instant expert. I have in the past gone with suggestions for reg cleaners, HDD stuff that have caused me a world of grief including I suspect the HDD controller problems. There is one in particular a codecs CD - a 7 one locally on Ebay that this knowbrainer / sly rat who took the Shark program and "reinvented" it which I could not get rid of using all of the usual uninstallers - Windows / Revo / CCleaner / etc etc. However the factory default on the laptop finally got rid of it and that has made me particularly wary of anything and especially from Ebay.
But I have now found the cause of the HDD controller errors in eventvwr it turned out to be the externals I was using which had become corrupted somehow and I have to admit that it was prbably down to my own doing - I didn't find out until just recently re "safely" removing any usb connected devices and used to just pull them out. So have got a couple now - a Seagate and a WD that have not been subjected to "the treatment" lol!! So my probs in that area now fixed unless I do something stupid again!
Look I am really sorry for presuming that you were Jewish and I have looked up messianic and yeh I should have been a little more careful in what I presumed and said. I was presuming because of your name and the emblem on your page.
I myself have to confess am an atheist and have been since I was very young as I am a creature of logic and science - you don't see it - it don't exist - unless it is proovable by scientific method. Plus I work in a health profession that has brought me into contact with individuals that no amount of religious reasoning can convince me that any devine being would allow such suffering as I have seen over 40 years in the job. For example no one could ever tell me that it is a devine being's will to let children of a very young age suffer luekaemia and other disorders / diseases that are truly awful.
But when it comes to situations close to ones own beliefs and I do believe in the "kinder" and humanistic principles of Christianity, Bhuddism, Islam, or any faith and live by them. In addition I do ot or would not deny anyone the right to believe in what they want to - I just dislike intensely anyone who tries to push their beliefs onto me or anyone - that for whatever cause that do not have the reasoning power or need some form of reassurance to cope with the vagaries of life.
Cripes I have digressed eh? Must get off my soapbox lol!!
