    Preventing DVD tray from auto-ejecting

When navigating in Explorer I go one step too far down from time to time and pick my DVD-burner instead of one of my HDs. This causes the burner to eject its tray unless there's a disc in the drive and since my case has a door this stops the tray which may not be good in the long run. Is there some way to configure things so the tray isn't ejected if there isn't a disc in?

    Try the tip here.

Hack to Turn Off and Disable Windows 7 CD or DVD Writer Burning and Auto Tray Ejection Feature » My Digital Life

    or here

    # Stop CD/DVD Tray from Ejecting Automatically in Vista

But remember, disabling this feature will also disable the built in CD burning. So, as long as you use a 3rd party software like Nero, you're fine.

Thanks, disabled it now and I hope it'll keep the tray from opening by mistake in the future and since I use Nero disabling the burning won't affect me.
