8 pin connector?

    8 pin connector?


    I noticed on a motherboard there was a 8pin connector but 4 were covered by a sticker...what is the 8pin for and is there a cable i can convert to a 8pin???

    You only use it if your PSU has an 8 pin.

    my psu had an extra 4 pin cable connected to the standard cable

    Also one last thing, if you over clock saya AMD phenom IIx6 1055t 2.8ghz 125w to like 3.5 or 3.5 how big of a jump of Wattage is that? any idea?

    I just let my board do a modest OC, I would go to the Overclocking and Case Mods and learn from the best. They tend to say start small and keep increasing till stability issues and back off, but it's much more complicated than that simple answer. Good luck and don't cook anything.
