    after clean install my pcs ethernet ports and wireless card wont work


    i did a clean install on my pc useing my windows 7 retail disk and now i cant connect to the internet useing my laptops ethernet ports or the built in network card i just bought the pc yesterday and now the ethernet ports are not functioning neither is the wirelesscard before i did the clean install everything was working fine i dont know how to find the drivers in order to redownload them if thats the problem

    i was also wondering why is it that my last pc i had i could do clean install and i never had problems connecting to the internet useing the ethernet ports or the built in network ADAPTER

    It's definitely a driver problem if your ethernet worked just prior to the clean install. Your specs are too vague for me to direct you to the exact web page for the drivers. So just go to the HP site, and you should be able to find the right drivers no problem.

    Hope that helps. If you still can't find the correct drivers, then I need more specs.

    That's very common. Sometimes Microsoft can install the correct drivers during installation, and sometimes it can't...depending on your rig. HP seems to have problems in this area for some reason. It's easily resolved though. Once you find the correct drivers at HP, make sure you save them on disc, or a spare hard drive or something, then you don't have to hunt them up again should you choose to do another clean install.
