I get idle core temps from 27 to 32 for highest core, and max temps about 52. Each persons temps will vary, and yours are no problem. And if Solarstarshines is getting 16c, push/pull, smush/pull, I'd leave it be

I know... Just commenting with comparison and complimenting on his temps because they are fantastic

I do not even go above 50 now even with COD: Black Ops. Unless my pc sensors are lying.

I'm fairly sure that 16C temps on the CPU are not correct, because that's pretty darn cold (60F). That's not really possible with air cooling unless you're in a very cold area. CPU temperatures also are not going to be 100% accurate as they diverge from the TJunction set by the manufacturer because they are only calibrated against one point. There are also problems where CPU temperature sensors are defective and get "stuck" at a certain temperature. Basically, you can never be 100% sure that your CPU is reporting correct temperatures.

I bought a Hyper 212 plus and I'm not that impressed. MY i5 2500k is OC to 4.2 and after running prime95, my temps using Hardware monitor are:

    My stock cooler went up to 83 Hyper 212 plus core 0 67 core 1 73 core 2 71 core 3 70 package 76 Voltage 1.272 Fan Speed 1900rpm

I Played Arma 2 for 30 mins and load temp was 69oc Is this ok Idle temps are not really that great either: Well I thought they would be better especially after reading reviews on Newegg and people claiming theirs went as low as 29.

    core 0 37 core1 38 core 2 39 core3 39 package 40

I have a Antec nine hundred gaming case and also have a 120mm fan on the side which I had to remove, as the heat sink gets in the way. Would it be ok to turn the heat sink sideways? Would adding a second fan make any difference?. I'm impressed with the performance of the cpu, but not happy with temps. I tried death race maxed out and got min 89fps max 240fps. With my Q6700 2800 I could only get 28min 45max during the race. So it's much faster. It's just a shame about the temps.

Sorry my fault. Silly me had the fan the wrong way around. No wonder it was overheating. Working perfectly now and I've also bought a second fan. My temps are now 30 idle, around 50-65 while gaming at 4200mhz. My case is the Antec Nine Hundred and the only downside for me is that the heat sink is so big that it blocks my 200mm side fan, which I had to take off. Apart from that, it's an excellent Cooler for the price.
