Should I reformat this HD?

    if you go to the root of C: drive, is there a folder named "windows.old"?

    Yes, I'm very familiar with that file as I use it to recover important programs from my XP folders. Do I have to delete it?

    that folder is taking a huge chunk of disk space. once you copy all the files you need from it, it can be deleted. just make sure you go through it thoroughly.

    Boy your right its at 43GB at counting at this point I going to delete it right away!

    anything in the "windows.old" folder is safe to delete, as long as you feel you dont need it.

    OK now I ran into this that scared me for a bit:

    Should I tick the box for similar boxes like this for files to be deleted?

    probably safe to delete since its left over from xp, but you can skip it for now if you like.
