I wonder what is taking 70GB of the HD?

must be win7 and whatever programs you have installed (plus music and pictures) since your net gain is only about the size of your "windows.old" folder.
maybe more space will show after a restart. or you may have a hidden partition.

I checked how much space my installed programs take and its total is 934MB + 9GB of music and pictures(combined) + I think Windows 7 files = About 20GB. So I'll try a reboot after the defrag is finished and tell you what happened.

well, if you only have 1GB of RAM, you may have a larger than normal pagefile. you could adjust the size, but it may cause some lag if you make it too small.

did you restart? does it seem any faster?

I does seem a little bit faster after reboot, but I saw that there are folders on my HD that are just plain weird. Should I show you? Its just folders no files in sight.
