    Device error

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit and one time I took my laptop to a computer store to fix it from a serious system error, but after they fixed it, they entered the device information wrong and the laptop cannot download realistic icons for itself anymore. The model number of the computer is wrong now. Is there any way to change the model number so that it will get the realistic icon again in devices and printers?

    Thank you in advance!

If the information is not correct under this key in regedit...you may have to find the correct bios upgrade from the manufacturer. Check what is here...
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\BIOS

Welcome to Seven Forums stimpson97. Assuming that the model info is the reason you cannot get the icons, you can change the info using this program:

    WinBubble

    ***CAUTION***

Make a System Restore point first. And I can't speak for the rest of the options of this program! Most of these things are better left alone.
