Windows 7: Weird keyboard problem...

Windows 7 Build 7100

yeah, I had the same problem... I'm in Australia, so I chose the UK language settings when i installed because it has more of the correct syntax and language features than the Australian version (LOL!!), but it also changed my keyboard layout to UK. Like you, it refused to change, so I fresh installed (luckily I caught it before I had installed much) and made sure I selected the plain US keyboard layout when the prompt came.

In terms of keyboards... It has to be the X6 Sidewinder!! I just bought this for AU$69.95 and it is AWESOME!! Backlit, tons of macro keys, full multimedia, removable num pad (also converts to a macro pad) for more mouse room... I can not even begin to extol it's virtues... Don't know how much it is in the US (or Bulgaria), but it's definately the best gaming/multi keyboard from Microsoft, imo...

You cannot remove US-International until you make US active, or over keyboard layout. For example, 1. choose US layout, 2. select it at default input language 3. remove US international . Hope it will work for you
