What is better for me? 32 or 64 bit

Hello again,

I just upgaded to 64 bit, but I must say that the 32 version is much faster...
some program stuck (like media player) etc...
In the 32 version, almost verything was like a flash but now it is just slower...
Is there any bios change or anything?

You're saying that with your current 3gb ram system that the 32 bit was much faster? If this is the case then you may want to consider installing the 32 bit again or we can determine why your system is slowing down with the 64 bit. My first question is are you still considering going to like 6 gb of ram by pulling the 1 gb stick and added a 4 gb in it's place?

Yeah that's true, the start-up for example with the 32bit was too fast, all program loaded in like 2 sec, but this one take longer...
Adding more RAM is in my plans, but not so soon...

My only guess as to why this could be is the ram and I would say if your quite some time away from a upgrade and the 32 bit ran faster in your opinion then really there's your answer! Load the 32 bit and when you decide to upgrade then install the 64 bit.....yes more work for sure, otherwise live with the longer boot and other issues and try using a fast usb stick or flash card in ReadyBoost mode as it can help a little in these situations. Could be a good experiment before un-installing the 64 bit. I used a fast 4 gb sd card and the thing hit all the time until I installed my SSD drive. Cheers and good luck.

I guess 32bit will work better for me, I will make few tests and decide what to do, thanks for your help :)

The thing i picked up on in this post is ( I upgraded ) since that's really not possible, you have to do a clean install when going from 32bit to 64bit correct me if i'm wrong. I've just gone from 32bit to 64bit and it works flawlessly and i was a skeptic at first. :)

Yeah it was a clean install for sure, sorry for the mistake.

I want to let you all know that the 64bit system work just fine
I don't know what happen in the first and why it was slow, but after downloading all updates and installing them, everything is working fine after few tests:)
I want to thanks the members of this community for the advices, I really appreciate it.
