No it isn't. In fact that Asus board isn't much more than the older 785G with USB3 support due to the SB710 South Bridge, and doesn't even support SATA6 (if that is important).
The Asrock on the other hand does have the newer 870 on it with the SB 850 and does support SATA6.

That said if you're not going to use the onboard video and SATA6 is a consideration, then the Asrock is the one to get. That or something like this one for just a few $$ more,
