New Rig

Hey all, haven't used SevenForums in a while so don't know if anythings changed. Anyways I was thinking of buying a new system from Cyberpower and wanted to ask whether my planned system will have any bottlenecks/overhead. Here is my planned spec:
•CASE: NZXT Phantom Full Tower (Black)
•CD/DVD: 24X Double Layer DVD±RW Super Allwrite + Lightscribe Technology
•CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-980X Extreme Edition
•HDD: 500GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache HDD
•RAM: 12GB (6x2GB) PC12800 DDR3/1600mhz Corsair XMS3
•MOTHERBOARD: Asus P6X58D-E
•PSU: 700 Watt (Generic)
•GPU: 2x NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 1GB (SLI)

The set up looks wicked but such a rig missing a SSD in todays world is a glaring omission in my opinion. And a Crucial Real SSD, OCZ Vertex or Intel and load the OS and app's. only. I use a 64gb and it's more than enough and it will transform your experience !

I always thought SSD's were used for boot-up speed which is not an issue for me, though I could add one after buying the system because I will be installing Windows 7 Ultimate x64 myself. My main issue is price, this sytem will be paid for over a period of 48 months with 19.9% APR and buying an SSD from Cyberpower will cost a LOT. so now I can ask for relatively cheap SSD's, any suggestions??

OF COURSE, and maybe a little first time folding.

2 GTS 450's are too slow for that price, for that system you should have/need at least a pair of 470's or a pair of 6870's. More to the point, you can build an Intel or AMD system that will be just as good for half the price. What is the PSU? Rail info? Its more important than the rest of the system.

but, 500 gigs for your hard disk is pretty small by todays standards. I would recommend
at least 2 hard disks of 500gigs each if you can afford it.

Believe me, I would not know what to do with all that space, though I may upgrade to a 640gig sataIII model
