Smart move on the ram for the GPU's, PSU upgrade and such. You can flush out the ram with another matched set when you get bucks ahead. You boot this mad dog and load a game and you may need some adult diapers around cause your not going to want to set the controller down ! lol
Just reconsidered, how about this:
CASE: NZXT Phantom Full Tower Gaming Case High Performance Cooling with Integrated Fan Controller
CD: 24X Double Layer DVD±RW Super Allwrite + Lightscribe Technology
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-980X FAN: Asetek Liquid CPU Cooling System
HDD: 500GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache HDD
MEMORY: 6GB (3x2GB) PC12800 DDR3/1600mhz Corsair XMS3
MOTHERBOARD: Asus P6X58D-E
POWERSUPPLY:Thermaltake 875 Watts Toughpower XT 875W Modular 80 Plus
GRAPHICS: 2x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 SE 1GB
P.S. I can't build the system myself because I can't pay upfront, I'm paying over 4 years which is why I wan't such a powerful configuration so I don't have to upgrade much, but I will upgrade RAM and some other stuff once I save a little, and please don't tell me to wait for Sandy Bridge, I honestly dont see the point, the 980X will last me along time before I need 8 cores
It's shaping up nicely, how about pushing up the hard drive to at least a 32-64mb cache drive, it will be much faster and even the little up charge for 1 tb will be great to tide you over till you can score the SSD drive and balance of the ram if you even decide you need it !
Why would pay 1000 for that CPU and then unbalance it with 300 worth of GPU's? Take a look at the system in my specs. Its 60% cheaper than what you are considering and has no problems with any game (console port) on the market.
