    iPod Issues

Im running Windows 7. Back when I had xp I had transfered my music from my iPod touch to my computer by unhiding the folder and copying it etc. After I installed Windows 7 I lost all my music. Im trying to get it back onto my computer via my iPod but even when I tell Windows 7 to unhide the hidden folders no music is showing up.

Im just going to My Computer and double clicking my iPod and looking through the folders on my iPod.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks, Nick

Hello Nick, and welcome to the forum.

I had this similar problem with my iPod Touch. You have to DL a third party program that will rip the music from the iPod. Apple locks them (especially the new Touch) so that there is NO WAY to get your music off unless you use another program. They DO NOT want you to ba able to do that. Why? Because they hate windows perhaps. I don't know. But look around on the Internet for a program to do that.

Thanks, the problem with this though is that i was expecting to do this in a few minutes with no cost. Can you possibly direct me to a good ripping program that is free? All of these trials will only let you rip up to a certain amount of songs from the iPod.

I had the same problem. Unfortunately, you do indeed have to buy one.
Though, if you purchased your music, then you should be able to contact Apple (or whoever you bought them from) and be able to re-download them.
