Logitech HD Pro C910 webcam better than its Orbit?

I currently have a Logitech Orbit webcam & it has good video, but the face tracking software kind of sucks and its a bulky desktop item.

I'm thinking of selling it to get the new Logitech HD Pro C910, but how does it compare to the Orbit?

I do like how it clips on the monitor up out of the way, unlike the Orbit.

I'm going to be using it with Skype & I see skype doesnt allow its HD to shine, but I'd still rather get a higher quality webcam that clips on the monitor.

I've used several Logitech webcams in the past and found them all good in both picture quality and built quality. I started with the Quickcam 9000 Pro which I loved it but found the software very bloat. Recently, I've been looking for a webcam in my price range and upon comparing Microsoft and Logitech webcams, I found Microsoft Lifecams are praised this gen HD for price and picture quality (YouTube gen). The only negative things users/reviewers say about the new line of Microsoft Lifecams is that auto-focus feature which can be turned off via drivers and a higher system requirement compared to Logitech webcams. But personally, upon comparing the picture quality uploaded to YouTube, I found Microsoft has a sharper more natural looking picture and not over saturated with colors compared to Logitech new line, Microsoft lifecams physically also look better too IMO (looks studio, stylish).

Here's a link to a direct Microsoft Lifecam within the price range of your Logitech: Microsoft LifeCam Studio

I'm looking at this, it's more within my price range: Microsoft LifeCam HD-5000

Another plus, is Microsoft Lifecams this gen are firmware upgradeable which is really good if they need to fix something hardware related or add new features.

Hope this helps you a bit.
