Thermal Sensor

Hi Guys.. I have a quick question, why is it when I am monitoring my computer's CPU Core Temp.. (1 CPU) Why Does It Not Update the program on temp changes? I have to put the computer to sleep, and turn the computer back on in order for it to update.. How Come? Thanks. Btw, It Does Not Update Any Program that provides me with this info, so its not the program itself.
