    pointer touchpad problem


    hey guys i was wondering if you could help me try and sort out my touchpad on my DELL INSPIRON M5010

    the pad itself works but i am meant to be able to scroll down webpages and flick back pages on the internet.

    This is very frustrating as i have to coninualy use the up and down buttons on the side of ie

    i have checked the drivers and they are all up to date

    any help would be greatly appreciated

    trackpad options: either through control panel or through the driver icon in your sys tray?

    yeah we have tried both options but still no success
    its very irritating.
    could i download another driver from a different company?

    I went through the same problem so I got a wireless mouse.
    My problem was I have big hands for the tiny touch pad.

    thats great however my laptop doesnt have the same options, i will upload pics to show what i have on my screen.

    (this is not for my computer, its for my grans, i made the sensible choice of a mac pro :P
    but only due to my course and the practicality of it )

    as you can see the options are not the same as on that website,here is the owners manual that show that this computer is able to support it , from page 36 onwards (page 34 if it were printed off)
