    Wake up

Each time I wake my PC (Windows 7), it relist's all my connected hardware, HDD's, jump drives, etc. (shows pane asking what I want to do with the drive).
Is there any way to stop this?
    Thanks

    Hi! N2Abyss, welcome to 7F :)

Sounds like it is rebooting when it wakes. Can you look into the BIOS when it starts to see if there is a setting there?

Also check the event viewer logs to see if there might be an error associated when this happens.

Anak, I have no idea what I'm looking at here, but in the "event viewer" I see the following -
    2 - Print Service Errors
    1- HAL Error
    1- Service Control Manager Error
I'll have a look around the bios the next time I boot, What am I looking for?
    Thanks

N2, what you have showed me there is enough to start on. Can you do a Startup Repair from the Windows 7 CD?

N2 my apologies, I failed to show you help on how to do a startup repair:

I will try that after the Holidays, I'm a little leery of that tho, I just got this machine reformatted and all programs reloaded! It runs fine with the exception of little things like the problem described above.
What exactly will a "StartUp Repair" do?
    Thanks

Reformatted before? that may be some of your problem where it may not have been a clean install.

If you go up to my link on startup repair it will tell you what it will or will not do.
