I fear you have a loose connection problem! Might be a job for an engineer unless you feel confident if having a go yourself. If you feed the make and model of your laptop into Google you just might find a reference to an engineers manual.

Impossible to answer this, it will cost more to diagnose the problem than to fix it, I would guess!. It seems as if you have solved the boot up problem that you had yesterday, is that so? If yes what did you do to cure it?
BTW reading your previous thread I'm guessing that you are located in the UK. Is this so?

would be impossible to tell you how much they'll charge to A: figure it out - B: Fix it

Warranty on the laptop? If so, you might need to use it.

Oh ok. Yes i solved this by attempting to reinstall the original windows 7 installation CD after around an hour of trying to get it to boot a CD.

TDPUK, It's highly possible you may have damaged the flex cable of the lcd panel or you may be lucky and it has just come loose from its connection depending on who made your laptop it may be easy for you to just remove the hinge cover and just push in the flex cable normally there are only 2 sets of cables ,1 the flex the other will be the wireless antennae if you let us know the lappy manf we may be able to help you further
