    Help with Acer webcam


    I have an Acer Aspire 5336 and the web cam works fine with AIM, takes pics etc...but it is junk!!! It's the most basic, stipped down web cam I have ever used. They told Me at cust. support that I can use any web cam software to run it and I was wondering if that would that make it any better and what should I use?

    Welcome to SF.

    it won't improved the resolution. you can use Skype, AIM, etc. to control your webcam, but if it has inherent limitations, it won't improve with software. sorry.

    My best bet, I am guessing is to purchase an external webcam?

    I would think so.

    Check the image resolution, capture resolution and fps on your current webcam, so you know the direction to move toward.

i upgraded my acer aspire one (AOA150Bb) to windows 7 home premium unfortunately the web cam is not in my computer is there any way of getting it there??? i know i was on here like 2 days ago with a different problem but windows 7 is a hell of a lot better than XP when you get it working.
Acer CrystalEye Webcam

My Acer Aspire 5920 laptop came with a built in CrystalEye webcam. In Vista, there was a link on the start menu for it. In Windows 7, I cant find a way to turn it on. It is listed in the devices, and I checked for drivers for it, but Windows couldnt find any. Does anyone know how I can get it...
