    Will this work?

Hello, I have an HP Pavilion DV6-1030us laptop. I just bought an OCZ vertex 2 SSD (120 GB). Will that drive work in my laptop?

It will work if it will fit---that is, if your particular OCZ model is designed for laptops.

Or did you buy a drive designed to fit only in desktops?

Pretty much what I was going to ask while doing some searching. As long as the SSD will fit in the old drives cage and has the proper connections it should work.

I was also going to suggest linking us to the drive you purchased.
While doing some searching for replacement "original drives" They caution about the drive needing to fit the original case.

If this is the drive here are some speed shots http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-me...e=UTF8&index=0
