Hello Dr.SlickDaddy, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Switching to 64-bit will allow your system to actually use above 3.25 GB of installed RAM.

If you have a integrated graphics chip on your motherboard, then you might check your BIOS settings to make sure that you do not have any memory allocated for it since you are using two graphics cards instead.

Also, double check to see if you have a memory mapping option in your BIOS settings. If you do, enable it.

Next, using the tutorial below, make sure that you have the Maximum memory box unchecked, or check it and select the highest option 4096 (4GB) for your amount of installed RAM.

    Hope this helps,

Word of advice: Round up 64 bit drivers for your devices before you switch (32 bit drivers will not work in a 64 bit OS). Windows may supply some, but often, mfr drivers suit your devices better. Also, you will be prepared for those drivers that windows may not supply.

    Oh, and welcome.

You're very welcome. I've been running 64 bit for several years, and win7's implementation is excellent. Plus, those programs that need more RAM really benefit from it. The things it does with Photoshop are nothing short of incredible. Post back if you need help.

    Good luck!

It's a limitation of 32bit os, can only read 3gig, 64bit can read all you can give it
