BSOD 7E w/ AMD 462, 3 gb ram and nforce2 ultra chipset
I've been trying to load win 7 32 bit on a Shuttle mobo AN35N Ultra that has a 462 AMD cpu, three 1 gb dimms and nivida nforce2 ultra 400 chip set for 3 days (I'm retired) and on the first reboot of win7 I get a 0x0000007e BSOD. I've searched here and have not found a solution. Googling various senarios I found many with different brands of mobo's with this exact hardware setup having the exact problem. This chipset supports 3 dimm slots for a max total of 3 gb. I found on a ASUS forum that taking the 3rd 1 gb chip out win7 will load sucessfully. Then down loading new drivers the third dimm will work. I don't have the time this morning to try it but want to throw it out for what it may be worth. Here's the ASUS forum thread. Scroll down to a solution from "C" to see what I'm refering too. I'll try it later today and post back
