50-In-1 Memory Card Reader Not Working

I have no idea when this stopped working, but i noticed it yesterday when i went to use it.
The device manager detects a 'unknown device' in the USB controllers list and gives this report 'Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)'

The first thing I'd try is updating that particular driver. If no help, I'd delete the driver and let windows discover the device again.

Try this fixit link as well:

I had same problem with my internat card reader.

Dead. I actually went out and purchased a new one. Never installed it though.

Before installing new reader. I made sure all connections were tight. And the old card reader worked properly again. Been working fine for over a year now.

Thanks, the Program detected the problem but did nothing about it.

My computer came with no drivers (IE on a disc) and i cant find any generic drivers. So as far as i know no drivers are installed on it.

Are your motherboard's chipset drivers installed? Did it ever work before? Try reseating the USB header plug or try a new header.
