    Trackpad Button Doesn't Work Properly

I have a Samsung R580 laptop and the trackpad button doesn't work quite right. The button is a single piece button. The right clicking works just fine, but when I try to left click, it doesn't always work. I'll have to press really hard to get it to work. This has only started the last couple of weeks. I know that I probably shouldn't, but I take a thin knife and stick it in the crack surrounding the button and slide it back and forth a few times. This seems to fix the button momentarily, but only for a few seconds. After which, it goes right back to hardly working. I have no idea of what's wrong. I can use a mouse, but it's much more convienient to use the trackpad button. I can also use the trackpad it's self to tap which will do the same thing as clicking the button, but I keep clicking things I don't want to. Any ideas ? I don't know that the keyboard being dirty is causing it, as every other button works perfectly.

It sounds like you might actually need a trackpad repair or replacement. Are you still under warranty?

It's most likely as stated above.
Or it could have something lodged underneath it. The only way to know would be to take th laptop apart or have a shop do it.
