    Replace or not replace?

Hello, I'm looking for advice on what I should do with my old machine here, I want better performance out of it and I have a slightly more modern motherboard that I pulled from a system that once ran Vista.

    Current Motherboard:
    Type: Intel J2E1
CPU: Intel Celeron 2.80GHz Northwood 0.13um Technology
Chipset: Intel 845G (64MB Graphics Memory)
    RAM: 1GB DDR @ 133MHz (2-3-3-6)

    Replacement Canidate:
    Type: SY-K7VME
    CPU: AMD Athlon 2.00GHz 2600
Graphics: nVidia GeForce 6200 128MB AGP
RAM: Will be useing same RAM

Will the replacement make my system perform better, or should I stick with my current setup and wait until I get the money for a new system?

what on earth do you plan to accomplish with but a single gigabyte of ram, and at 133(sic)MHz to boot!!

I have not compared the two but I don't think you'll get what you are after from either of those.
It would be best to work your way towards a new system when you are able. :)

Yeah. Better wait and when you've the money, buy a new pc.
That ram is going to give you trouble. And the graphic card too is an AGP, not good for graphic intensive jobs or HD videos. I don't know much about that card but i doubt if it can run aero even w/o any lag(s).

I have a test computer running the replacement canidate and it is running Windows 7 very well with Aero enabled, and on only 512MB of ram too. And I want to use the replacement canidate motherboard so I can do more on my PC due to the processor not having the Aero coding on it, giving more headroom for other programs.
