Can windows 7 damage a motherboard?
Hey guys:
I was running Windows 7 bld 7077 a while back. Shortly after I loaded it. I had the blue screen of death pop up and it said that something attempted to write to a rom area? After that, I lost 3 of the 4 memory slots on the mobo. I have just replaced the mobo and all is fine. Do you think that Windows 7 had anything to do with it or could it have been just bad timing? A coincidence if you will.
I am running the Asus P4C800-E mobo socket 478 with a 3.4 Extreme chip. I was playing around with putting the page file system(virtual memory) on my G:\ drive.
I would love to load it up again and test it out, but I don't want to blow up another mobo.
Thanks
