Windows 7: 5 in 1 Card Reader

5 in 1 Card Reader

Hello there,

A year or 2ago or so I built myself a new PC.
I thought it would be a good idea to take the 5 in 1 cardreader from my old PC to the new self built one.

My old PC had Windows XP and the card reader worked just fine on that one.
However, the card reader hasen't worked ever since I put it on this PC and installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on it.

Looking at this website I found a reasonable amount of topics regarding this issue, however it were almost all about notebooks, which mine isn't.

I attempted to install the SD Host Adapter using Device Manager in Windows self, but that didn't help much. It does show a yellow '!' so that means I need a driver.

If anyone could be so kind to find me a driver, I'd be very happy.
Here is the hardware ID, I hope it's the good one.
pci\ven_1180&dev_0822&subsys_833810f7, it appears to be by 'Ricoh'.

Thanks in advantage!

Windows 7 64 Bit Home Premium SP1

The driver ID identifies the device as:
SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller (Ricoh)

A quick search shows driver versions that only go up to XP (old device).

I found this:
SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET

It may be necessary to run the driver install exe in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP.
Compatibility Mode

Hope that helps

Unfortunately it tells me to update Windows. Which I have already done over 10 times, if not more.
Thank you for the help but unfortunately it is of no help.

Would like to hear more ideas!
