    External Drives

Anyone have any experience with this external drive enclosure?

AcomData-3.5" Samba USB 2.0 & eSATA (SATA Drive) Enclosure Kit-Enter Promo Code: ACOM72810 for Special Offer! BONUS--Free eSATA Cable!(SMBXXXU2SE-BLK)

I’m not too keen on the aesthetics but I can grab one at very good price. Open to recommendations for either bare enclosures or complete drives. Preferably something faster than USB 2. My PC supports USB 2, USB 3, Firewire and eSATA

I have a couple of older AcomData IDE external USB HD's that are still working

Here is what I did recently https://www.sevenforums.com/hardware-...ml#post1177933

Thanks. Given how cheap OEM drives are, it would be foolish not to make your own.

I have ‘zero’ experience with eSATA but from what I’ve read it’s more stable than USB 3. I’m assuming you can boot off a eSATA drive?
