asus g50vt issues with 7, video card and touchpad

I have a major issues with windows 7, nvidia 9800m gs and synaptic touchpad.

The problem is that sometime video card and touchpad return a error code 10 and i need to reboot to be able to use it.

With touchpad is not a big issue but with video card is a problem (sometime screen stay black, sometime at low res).

nvidia driver is 260.99 and others are from asus website.
    asus g50vt with bios 213 (tested 209, 210, 213).

    Do u know a solution?

Ubuntu, debian and vista works well with no problems.

Hello there, and welcome to the forums.

Error Code 10 usually suggest an IRQ assignment issue. let's try first with the latest drivers.

Please download both drivers from the manufacturer's website, in this case it'd be:

    1) NVIDIA DRIVERS 266.58 WHQL
    2) Download License Agreement | Synaptics

Both downloads are for Windows 7 64-bit edition.

    Procedure:

Uninstall your Nvidia Drivers, run Driver Sweeper download from Guru3D.com and delete the leftovers of the drivers, reboot and install the latest version.

Uninstall your Synaptics drivers, reboot and install the latest version.

Please report back to see if the problem is solved :)

    Sry for the long delay.
    I deeply tested this issue.
This happen with all combo of driver (asus website, nvidia until 267.76, synaptics until 15.2.7).
To see if it is a conflict with other devices, i've tried to disable all other devices (webcam, card reader, audio card, etc...)
With sp1 issue is worst, all the system crash before the login window ( i can see a low res screen with a white bar for the pwd, but it freeze before the user logo appear).
In the event log i can see a lot of "kernel-pnp" error. Googling a little i've found a 3d on the dell forum that talk about this issue and dell resolved this with a bios upgrade.
EDIT: i forgot to mention that this happen also with no driver installed (fresh 7 install).
