    HOW TO DETECT & IMPORT from SONY DCR-HC52 into MOVIE MAKER WIN 77


    I came across this EXTREMELY HELPFUL INFO THAT COMPLETELY WORKED FOR ME!

    • Click Windows Start orb; type "device manager" into the Search box and select Device Manager (or launch Device Manager anyway you like)
    • Swivel open the "IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers" item
    • Right-click on your listed 1394 controller; select "Update Driver Software"
    • Click the "Browse my computer for driver software" button, followed by the "Let me pick from a list" button
    • Select the option that has "(Legacy)" at the end of the name; click Next and let the driver be installed
    • Close out of dialogs and retry capture

    I HAD TO SHARE this AS this DID allow me to IMPORT from my Sony mini-dv INTO movie maker!

Hello, i was looking for drivers for my Panasonic NV-GS11 MiniDV camera for windows 7, but i only found one for Windows XP. Now i tried installing those drivers under Windows Virtual PC with Windows XP running, but they do not install properly. Is there anything i can do to make my camera work...
When I plug my USB Sony Cybershot camera in I don't get the autoplay option coming up, even though I have 'ask me every time' selected. I can see the camera in Explorer and can get to the pictures, but I woulld like to be asked if I want to download the pictures to a folder!
why dont i get any mini dumps?

I have been getting random freeze on computer where everything will just working and stay that way until i restart my computer. I tried to find my mini dump files on C:/ system/ windows. i found it but it has little lock symbol next to folder and there is nothing in it... by the way i get ...
Ok most of my folders when set to large icons show a little file or picture or whatever if there is something inside of the folder. But I have a couple of folders that arent showing any mini preview but have something in them? Any ideas?
