Does G5 and G7 have specific drivers for Vista x64 OS? Have you tried to install the drivers in Win7?

No specific drivers... Only the Setpoint for Vista64...

Tomorrow I started my pc without my Lacie usb external drive and the mouse run perfectly for several minutes...

Then I tried to power on the Lacie and restarted problems....!!!!!!

I think that Lacie could be the guilty....

In this moment cursor has some problems... works only right click...

edit: after restart pc..... same problem, also without external drive connected..

So confused....!!

If you go into:

Control Panel-->Mouse-->Hardware-->Properties-->Change Settings-->Power Management

is the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" box checked?

Just a thought.....

Ok guys....

The problem seems to be resolved...

My Logitech G5 runs perfectly since 2 hrs...

I uninstalled older mouse default driver...
Installed latest Setpoint for Vista64.. (command with keyboard, mouse doesn't works..)

Restart PC...

After restart, I setted up my G5 in Setpoint config...

p.s. note new model in devices list..

I gived control of the mouse to Setpoint config instead of the OS...

Wow, what a pain to go through! Are we going to have a repeat of Vista with hardware compatibility nightmares?

let's keep our fingers crossed...saldy though as close to RTM as we are it's hard to say if enough people have reported this as an issue to make it something worth fixing.

Win 7 Build 7100

I am also having this problem! Win7 has been working great for a couple months but this issue just popped up for me the other day while playing a game, my mouse did not work at all. After every reboot, I am able to use my mouse only on the desktop but clicking anywhere on the start menu button or the taskbar does not work. I have to Ctrl-Alt-Dlt and click on "open task manager" a few times and finally it will register a click and open the task manager. Once that happens, I am now able to use my mouse again on the start menu button and the taskbar.

EDIT: I am using a MS wireless keyboard and mouse set [MS Wireless Desktop 6000 I think]

Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8.1 Pro,

You guys just need to reinstall the set point drivers but right click and use Vista compatiblity mode when you do it.

The first attempted installation will usually fail but then just wait approx ten seconds and the Win7 compatiblity mode will pop up, just click to reinstall with Win7 settings and they will work after that.

Help with mouse problems
All of a sudden I can't use my mouse on my desktop. Nothing happens when I click on my icons, I can't move them, and it takes forever just to set the cursor to write something, say, in the search window.... This started happening when I did the upgrade to 7/64 home premium. Does anyone know how...
