    Scanner?

This is something that I only use once in a blue moon, but the moon is now a royal blue. My old HP 5510v printer was designed to use HP software for scanning and other purposes, but only in x32. This wasn't a problem with XP x64. because it has a Scanner and Camera Wizard, in the Control Panel that suffices quite nicely. I do not find this in W7 x64, despite the fact that when I checked Installed Windows Programs, it does show that scanning management is installed.

The question remains as to how to use this?

Found it! The scanner wizard is hidden inside of the printer listing.

No, just by selecting one of the 3 options for it, on the right click context menu of the primary printer icon that already exists in the main window.
