Fn keys no longer work with Windows 7

Hi,
I upgraded my Samsung R720 Notepad from Vista to Windows 7 approx 12 months now as part of a free upgrade with the purchase. Ever since the upgrade I've been struggling to get my Fn Keys working again. I've updated all the drivers available via the Samsung download centre but to no avail.
Any support or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

do you have the samsung programs that came with it running?
I know my HP wont let me use the media keys unless it's own software for using them is running.
