My logitec optical wireless mouse uses the old windows HID compliant mouse driver.

    version 6.1.7600.16385 date 6/21/2006

Although the wheel does not work correctly except as a button.

    Win 7 64 bit

just after posting this I downloaded WizMouse v1.6.0.0 and this does make the wheel work when scrolling.
