New HDD noise on shutting down

It could be normal, but that depends. Some drives will automatically stop spinning before the PC shuts off, which removes any such noise, but there are others that wont stop spinning and will produce that noise.

    For peace of mind, check it with some drive tools, like WD Diagnostics. But to be 100% sure, I'd backup my data somewhere safe and send it back for replacement if you can.

    No Anthony my HDD does'nt sound like any of these sounds in the vid... it's just like .... sssseeeeeeeeeeoooooonn on turning off.

    According to some of the research I have done on this Hard drive, it is known to be a loud drive!!
