5.1 speakers setting up on my configuration

I am planning to buy a 5.1 speakers but this is my situation.I have my pc setupped to my 107cm LG TV via hdmi cable ..sound is comming from the tv (ofc) i was thinking now about those 5.1 speakers..but also will they work on my configuration?help?
