Windows 7: my windows 7 home premium cannot detect my cd

cool im waiting to see if opp has tried the posts windows 7 is pretty good at fixing driver issues i find it better to remove problem devices and drivers and re-boot them so windows will have another go at installing.

my windows 7 home premium cannot detect my cd-yukk.jpg im using something like this, and when i pluck out this thing, DVD/CD Rom Drives disappear. but im using pc, not laptop. i want my my windows 7 home premium cannot detect my cd-acer-aspire-x3950.jpg to work not my windows 7 home premium cannot detect my cd-yukk.jpg

well internal uses sata plugs on the board external use usb .

by plucking out you mean you disconnect the drive and the drive is a external usb one? you have no internal drive with the new pc?
