my windows 7 home premium cannot detect my cd

    ok ok lets get this right, its a external drive using usb connection and windows is not able to see it?

    you are connecting a external dvd/cd player to a tower pc yes?

    oh yea, i pluck it in cause i wanted to try if the problem got to do with the disc, but the external dvd/cd couldnt read my disc, but it can read other disc. but for the pc, it couldnt read any disc.

    1. reboot pc without it plugged in
    2. when pc rebooted and the desktop is running plug it in the pc
    3. look for promps in the notification area
    4. post any results
    5. open device manager
    6. post a screen shot of device manager

    my windows 7 home premium cannot detect my cd-aergrgearg.png its with the external drive. the DVD/CD Rom Drives dont show up if i pluck it out

    with no red cross this indicates no problems

    its with the external drive. the DVD/CD Rom Drives dont show up if i pluck it out
    it wont if you have no drive connected
