RAM not usable
I have 8GB installed on Win 7 Professional 64 bit. For some reason Control Panel reports that 4GB are recognized but unusable (screenshot attached). Any ideas what I can do to get that 4GB back?

Hello there.
Do you have the "Memory remap" option enabled on the BIOS? if not, please enable it. if you can't find it inside the BIOS. then boot into Windows, type "msconfig" without the quotes on the search bar, run as administrator, go to the boot tab, click on advanced settings and uncheck "Maximum Memory". (the top right option)
Reboot and check.
Post back your results
Memory remap was already enabled in BIOS. Just for grins I disabled it and that of course made it worse, so I reenabled it.
msconfig already has no check for Maximum Memory.
Do you have onboard video or a video card ? Is your memory all the same make & model & speed ?
My video card is a MSI N470GTX Twin Frozr II GeForce GTX470. Memory is 4 x Crucial 2GB DDR3 SDRAM.
Any ideas out there?
