I will second the vote for the Hyper212+. I'm not sure what review you are reading, but there's no molex connector or LEDs at all. It comes with a single black 120mm fan that has the new 4 pin-style mobo header for power.

i have this one in my machine:

Hyper N520 - Cooler Master

working out well for me.. never gets above 40c and is usually at or around 30-32c

then again, i dont push mine all that hard.. if i did, it might go up to 45c

Are you planning to overclock? And if so, by how much? I run an Intel E8400 at work which is 3.0Ghz by default. I have it running at 3.6Ghz on the stock intel cooler. I run around 36C at idle and 58-60 under Prime 95 for a few hours. It's yet to hit 61C and it's spec is around 72C.....so heat is not a problem even with the stock cooler.

+=1 on the Hyper 212+. I am not aware of ay LED - mine doesn't have any. The fan is PWM.

It is rather large so you need to make sure it will fit in your case.

I use one on an i5-760 o'clocked from 2.8 to 3.8 GHz and it keeps it below 66c on IBT and below 64c on PRIME95 - both at full CPU and memory load of 5GB.

yeh i think i got it messed up with a different cpu, was late last night lol anyway these are the pros and cons

Pros:

- Price
- Excellent Cooling Performance
- Dual fan capable out of the box
- Very powerful stock fan
- Backplate comes standard
- Improved installation process (compared to other CM coolers)

Cons:

- Heatpipes are the smaller style
- Relies on a 2000RPM fan for optimal performance
- Questions over Fan specs
- Single pressure point mount does allow twisting to happen
- "Only" second best at high loads

Prob about right. The second fan will cost you about $10 plus a Y adapter and will get you 2 to 3c cooler.
