For the gamers - new Radeon GPU

AMD has finally launched the long-anticipated followup to its Radeon HD 5970, its dual-GPU monster graphics card. Like its predecessor, the new Radeon HD 6990, code-named Antilles, combines two GPUs in a single package, and the result is the fastest graphics card you can buy.

It's $700+ and there are 2 other threads for this card series.
Too rich for my blood though.

Yeah, way too expensive for me. Gotta get that down around $300 to even be viable. I am considering upgrading my older Nvidia 9800GTX+ to a Radeon 5850.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. I'm not a hardcore gamer, I'll just be powering a single 23" monitor at 1920x1080. My 9800GTX+ is doing alright, but can get somewhat loud at times. I've read the 5850 is quite quiet.

I don't even hear mine throttle up when gaming.
I play FPS games with the settings usually turned up to max @ 1920x1080.
I've been playing Black Ops and Bad Company 2.
