    Lucid Virtu - Can't install...

I've been wanting to try Lucid's Virtu out for quite some time so that I can use Intel's QuickSync feature for converting videos (since I have a dedicated GPU). I just came across the demo, downloaded it, tried installing it, but I get this:

Anyone know of any tricks to get it installed, or are mobile Sandy Bridge processors not supported?

    Similar Problem

I am also trying to install the new Virtu on a Gigabyte Ga H67MA UD2h B3 board. When a discrete video card is not installed it tells me it can't install... Needs discrete card. When I have the discrete card in Sapphire 5570...software tells me there is no Sandy Bridge. I sure would like help with the installation as well.

They said that Virtu doesn't support mobile chipsets, which doesn't really make sense.

Did you get a response? I really want to get Virtu wPeking. Hopefully it'll bring better battery life to mobile chipsets.

    Sorry, don't mind this.

    Lucid Virtu

I doubt I am going to be much help here except to say I had the same problem with installation and was receiving the same messages with my Gigabyte h67MA-UD2H-B3 motherboard and Sapphire 5570 discrete video card. I did however, eventually get it installed and working properly! So it IS possible to do...AND it does work with an H67 motherboard!

I believe I went into the bios and changed the settings there. I am not 100% sure but to my best recollection that is how I got it working. I am sorry I can't be more specific but I wanted to let those know who are having difficulty that it will work.

If I recall anything further I will come back and post.

"Virtu has been design for Sandy Bridge platform H Series (H61/H67 and Z68 platforms) with 2nd Generation Core i5 or Core i7 CPUs."

You installed the Intel HD 3000 graphics driver?
